Slightly Obsessed. Just slightly. I swear...
Hi world.
I'm still here.
Just sort of slightly involved in a this...a love affair new obsession tapping into my inner fan girl. Well...whatever you want to call it, it's left my husband a Twilight widow and I'm pretty sure he's about to burn all of my books in protest. I literally blew through 1600+ pages this past weekend alone which never happens because I usually don't have time for much enjoyment reading.
I'm pretty sure I earned the bad wife award for essentially locking myself in our room (and bathroom) to be a book worm. The most he heard from me this weekend was from my adolescent-like squeals that emerged through our paper thin walls as I turned each page of the book eager to see what Edward and Jacob and Bella were up to next. :sigh: If there was a 12-step program for this series of books, Mike would surely see to it that I be one of the first ones admitted.
So with the bad wife award also comes the bad triathlete award. As you may have guessed, with my nose promptly secured in a book...there wasn't much on the training front during this long weekend.
Oopsies!!
Color me sissy. We've got lord knows how much snow still covering the ground (with another 2-4 inches supposedly falling today) and I'm just not feelin' these sub-freezing temps that Mother Nature has been hitting us with. Really. I'm over it. OH.VER.IT. Somewhere out there Molly and Tony are rolling their eyes reminding me about indoor pools and treadmills and trainers...yeah yeah yeah...I know. I know.
I'll be back on the bandwagon again soon enough.
I've been ironing out my goals for the 2009 race season and will have those to share soon enough...assuming a certain someone doesn't excommunicate me from the world first. (seriously, folks...I've been that bad.)
Hope everyone is surviving this ridonkulously cold winter we've been having. Except for all of you punks in California, Arizona, Southern Texas and Florida who've been reminding me of your beautiful training weather (you know who you are!!)...soak up some sunshine and send it up my way.

Wahahahahahaha. Yes, I'm bad. I'm trapped in sunshine and have no excuse not to train. Still, I *am* being restrained by my coach from doing more than I should. My first half of the year is less than 5 months away!
You are reading more fun stuff than me. I'm working my way through a book on sports nutrition for endurance athletes. Nerd!
LOVED the Twilight series. Good stuff.
Hey, it's going to be 80 or something here today. ;>)
I'm halfway through Eclipse, but with two kids can't hide away for very long at one time. I love the books too.
Welcome back to the trainer, treadmill and indoor pool!
GO TEAM JACOB. :)
So, have you read the whole series or just most of it?! It's definitely addicting.
I'm halfway through the 4th book. It's a little bit..."off" for lack of a better word. But I'm still thoroughly enjoying it.
Tom HATES those books because all i do is read. I'm taking book 4 with me on vacation tomorrow - hope to be done when I get back
I will most likely be running Chicago this year!! Yahoo!!
I am so psyched you FINALLY read this series. If you get the Bad Wife award, I think I am eligible for the Bad Mommy one. Should I admit that I have now read the first three books three times and the fourth one twice? If you go to Stephenie Meyer's website, she had the first couple hundred pages of a book she was working on, "Midnight Sun." It is "Twilight" written from Edward's perspective. She did not finish it, you can read on her website as to why, but what she has written is wonderful!
Oh Susan...been there. Done that. :) SO GOOD!
I lost so much sleep while reading the Twilight series! My word verification is "duckpo." Ha!
