Life Happens.
Yes. I'm still alive and kickin'.
Thanks for the comments, emails, facebook/myspace stalks, text messages and phone calls to make sure that I am, indeed, in one piece and not still roaming around the streets of Chicago from the marathon. And of course, thanks to Mike T. for reminding me weekly that I owe the world a race report.
It's coming and I'll keep it short and sweet since the day was long and ugly.
I guess I owe a life report, too.
So I guess you can anticipate both in the upcoming days and weeks.
Lots of things have been going on here these days. The most exciting news of which, can be found here. (Hopefully my sister won't kill me for linking to her page, sorry S...if it's a problem, let me know and I'll remove the link!) That's my newest little niece who will make her journey home from China in a few short months. And like any proud auntie, I'm showing her off to anyone who will listen! With her adorable looks and ever-so-evident attitude, I'm pretty sure she takes after me.
As for life on the running front? That's a laugh and a half. Although if it's any consolation my skin is still peeling off my feet from the blisters of October 12. We're actually looking to go running again this weekend...so we'll see how well that goes over.
But yes...good things are on the horizon and big news is-a-brewin' in this here neck of the woods. I'll fill you in sometime soon...so hang tight, my friends...hang tight...
