Let's do it.
There you go. Race number. Race goal. Race plan. I think it's my smartest bet, given the horrendous conditions, that I run with a pace group. I chatted with the pace leader at the expo. We'll be doing 2:2 run:walk intervals. Running around a 12:00 pace. I can handle that.
I'll evaluate how I'm feeling somewhere between miles 20-22 and then either make my move to pull ahead of the group or just tough it out for a 5:45.
And then of course, if it goes to shit...just hold on for dear life and try to break last year's 5:55:28. If that doesn't work...just crawl and claw my way to the finish chute.
It's time to run this bitch.
Let's do it.
