Weekend Update.
Welcome to Weekend Update: the Jayhawk Edition.
Good times, campers, good times...no...wait...actually it was...Great times!
The weekend with Mouse and Dice was nothing less than fabulicious. Alcohol was flowing. Friendships were growing. And Phog was hoe-ing himself out to everyone.
Rather than talk about how much fun we all had...I figure it's better you just see for yourself...

So I'm thinking I need to update all this schtuff on my blog. I was just looking at the calendar and all that jazz and there's some ch-ch-changes that need to go on...
Clearly, there was no race to be run this morning. But rather, a hangover to be hung (and damn it hurt...but it hurt so good!!). The Wacky 5k will have to wait until 2008.
The Brew to Brew is now poo to poo...Mike had something come up that weekend and the rockstar powder puff tag team of Jason, Leah, Barb and Mike had to withdraw from the event. Perhaps we'll map out our own local Brew to Brew here in Chicago...run from Goose Island Brewery to some other place, stopping for beer every half mile along the way. Part stupidity. Part brilliance. But a whole helluvalot of fun.
I did, however, get my rear signed up for the Danskin women's triathlon in July. I'm so very excited about this one since it fills up within a few days of registration opening. It's supposed to be the anti-race environment. Fun times! We've already got the hotel all lined up for that night, too. I'm definitely looking forward to this event...and if you're keeping score, I'm still dreading Galena.
In other running news, the RBF Great Midwest Relay team has a blog revved and ready to go (and we're still in need of a team name...). If you're ever wondering what we're up to, head on over and take a looksie. There's not much up there right now...but something tells me it could get interesting...

barb is right. it's all about ME.
You know, running from bar to bar is how the Falmouth Road Race got started many years ago. It now attracts about 10,000 runners each August (only 6800 of them with numbers, the rest bandits) and is second only to the Boston Marathon for anticipation on the New England race scene. Who knows what you might be starting in Chicago.
