Welcome to Running Jayhawk's Blog!

the happier side of blah.

To counter-balance my "blah" post from earlier today...here are a few smiles from over the weekend...good times, campers. good times. I present to you...the happier side of "blah."

Christy and I getting ready for the KU Pep Rally at the Hancock Friday afternoon. We're number one...in case you didn't get that from the picture.

The KU spirit squad and band getting everyone all "pepped" up. Good times. Too bad it was 30-something and crazy windy.
The three amigas at the game...moi (sporting mike's oversized shirt...), Christy and Taylor.
Go Jayhawks! And yes...I believe that three made its way to the hoop.

Check out that final score. THAT is why KU is a one seed. Niagara has a great perimeter game, so I was thrilled that our defense was able to shut them down.
We made friends with E.L. Fudge at the St. Patty's Day Parade. Yes, Tony the Tiger was hanging out with him. There was a lot of random schtuff going on at the parade...and in case you didn't get the memo, you could take anything...make it green...and it automatically constitutes as st. patty's day worthy.

And it wouldn't be a happy post without a photo of me and my girl........and the green Chicago River. The photo doesn't do it justice...it was quite greener and brighter than this....and hanging out with Linds on Saturday was fabulous, as always.

And of course...Mike, Me and the Wii makes three. This is arguably the most brilliant thing ever invented. It's loads of fun. And this lil' Jayhawk managed to whop her hubby's buns in bowling. And if you haven't already, check out Mike's review on his blog.

Good times, campers. Good times.

Duuuude, the women's tourney's earlier rounds are being co-hosted by either Pitt or Robert Morris. Maybe both. If I had my act together better, I'd be all over Pitt vs. Tennessee. But alas, I don't. I am sitting here doing laundry and getting hecka tired.

I'm not going to lie-one of my favorite things about b-ball season is that it's is not only okay but COOL to go out for the night in sneakers and t-shirts supporting your team. NO TRENDY SHOES. Freakin awesome. :)

I LOVE MY WII! I'm excited that somebody else has one too now!! You have to email me your Wii code so that we can travel to each other's games! :) We have 1 person in our Wii Parade, I have no clue who it is, but her name is Clemmy & she's an old black lady. :)

Oooh! I just remembered I never wrote you back this week and I could only remember your blog at work (and not your email). Yes, we want to be in the same van. I know, hard to believe after 11.5 years but we still do like each other!!!
