Meh....what the hell...

I'm gunna have to do the open water thing sometime or another.

So what the hell...I'll just suck it up and do the full kit and caboodle in May.

...I'm approaching Galena as my practice "fun" triathlon (you know, the chance to figure out just how the hell transitions work and the whole tri vibe and actually see how I fair in the water)...and then I'll actually *attempt* to race at the Danskin Women's Tri in July.

So yeah.

Should be some good times.

I guess I just needed to sleep on it for a bit. It's on...

I find it amusing that you picked the option most of the people who commented did not. But whatever works for you! We'll be here to support you through the whole process. Go Barb!

I love the Tri energy from you two, it's great what a couple of new bikes will do for the spirit.

If I liked water one little bit I would be more interested in them. I have done one and plan on doing more but....well lets just say I like dry land. :)

Wow, you made a gutsy choice, and I really admire that.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to support you in your training efforts.  Maybe I can come to the beach this summer and hand towels to you and OOSG.

Laurie, sometimes the right choice for an individual is indeed the unpopular one. I'm doing a tri in the summer anyway...so I may as well pony up and do it in Galena, too, so I'm not completely clueless when it comes July (which is the one that I am the most excited about).

And lunchbox...you can hand towels to us anyday. :) You're funny!

Congrats on this decision! I've got to get on this one. It's on the life's to do list, but not until 2008 now.
