Confession.

I'm on the brink of no longer being just a Running Jayhawk...

...A.NEW.BIKE...and by "new bike" I mean "a bike" since I haven't had one of my own since...the...uhmm...sixth grade?

[squeal!!!]

HELLO, LOVER!!!
Now, I suppose I should mention...I don't have the bike...YET. I am a bit torn at the moment between the 2005 Specialized Dolce Multi-Sport (shown above...and yes, it'd be that teeny bopper seafoam color) and the 2006 Cannondale R700 Feminine. I did a nice, long, extensive (as in 2ish hour) test drive of both--which likely drove our sales rep bonkers--and I was still left torn. I'm so stinkin' indecisive!! Argh.
So...my fellow runners looking to tri...and tri folks who stop by my bloggie...I'd love your thoughts and advice on this one. Tomorrow or Thursday I'll post more info on the two bikes I'm looking at (and well....have a deposit on, too...but it's totally refundable...you know...in case I get bike freight). Because well...I'd love your opinions...
As of right now, there is no specific tri on my schedule, but in July, I'm looking to start off with an all-womens tri...
...I must be completely off my rocker.

You always are off your rocker. You're the most most wound up blogger I know. You make me almost want to blog again. Like, NOT in my current LiveJournal sort of way.

Anyhow, I never know anybody made "Feminine" bikes. You learned me sumfin'.

so exciting. Jason and I went to look at bikes awhile back and they are so pretty and shiney. I think we would both be more apt to do a tri.....if there was no swimming :-) Can't wait to hear more about the bikes.....but like nicole said....don't bike over us runners :-)

Soooo awesome. Congrats on even considering a triathlon.

I know nothing about bikes but I know I hate that seafoam color. And we all know it is about how the bike looks, just like buying pretty running shoes ;)

Thanks for all the advice in regards to "the best place to live"! I truly appreciate it! Who knows where I will end up in 6-7 months!

Happy biking!

Even though I hate the cold - I am motivated by other runners. If we set up a date and time - that's all I need to get out there.

Hey Jayhawk, looks like a very cool ride. Thanks for the heads up on my blog roll, I am not sure how you fell off of there but it was seeming pretty boring lately. You are back in your rightful place next to OSG. But if you get a bike in the cold midwest, of course you need a rear wheel trainer. :)
