A century ride...and not the kind you ride on a bike.
I'm trying my damnedest to not to think of those two bikes right now. The thought only consumes me and I begin to obsess...over the bike...over tris...over triathlon goal times (*cough*2:10*cough)...over the Danskin Women's event in WI that I likely won't participate in...and all that jazz that falls in between. Maybe part of me is trying to talk myself out of the whole bike thing? More on that another day I guess...I'm still sorting it all out in my end, trying to weed through the "wahoo I'm getting a bike" excitement, and make sure that I'm doing the right thing. I feel like it's the right thing...but I'm second guessing myself.
Okay...so forget the traditional century ride. I'm taking you on a century ride...

Actually you were supposed to be Margaret Kathleen and we would call you Megan for short. Your siblings a bit miffed when we found out Mom and Dad pulled a quick one on us and named you Barbara instead!
And I vividly recall our party pooper days ... too fun!
we SERIOUSLY need to get you something for that cough. ;)
and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE with #69.
You are so much fun! I love the that you sing the same lines from a song over and over to yourself while running. I do that sometimes too! Oh and I heart the Smashing Pumpkins.
It's only 60 some miles to the Chick Fil A in Racine, WI.
In Japan, 4 is considered very unlucky. You'll never find anything packaged in a set of 4.
Collapsed lung? Did they have to do a chest tube? wince
Very cool...
#'s 86 and 87 I am in 100% agreement. Penaut Butter rocks!
I've never had grilled pb, but I have had nuked pb, j, and bacon on wheat bread. That's good eatin'!
Very nice post, Barbara! You sure are an interesting person.
I smile at the thought of you and Mike jumping out of a plane.
BTW, I was also on Forensics team in high school. My piece was Richard Nixon's resignation speech. I thought I was pretty good but the judges hated it and I was eventually kicked off the team.
It's cool that you and your sister used to sit on the stone wall and wave at passing cars. I myself at the age of 38 still do that sometimes in front of the building where I live.
Anyway, thanks for sharing so much of yourself. I think we all know you better now.
How very interesting! Of course I love them all but esp #79!!! Phog makes me want a pug friend for Pippin!! I think it would cheer him up!
Very nice post, Barb. You might impire me for my next post..hmmmmm.
19, I used to be on the school mascot squad for 2 years - and was the self-promoted co-captain of the squad.....earned three letters in that. :D But I wanted to be a cheerleader.
86. I seriously need to take you and Mike to P.B. Loco at the Mall of America if you decide to venture up here and have them make MY favorite creation - PB, marshmellow, chocolate chip and banana sandwich. YUMMMMMMMM! :D
90. I LOVE Chik-Fil-A when I lived in Colorado Springs. YUMMMM! I also LOVE Cold Stone too. :D
I secretly love JT as well!! Shhh! And, even though it's a rare occasion that I watch SNL, I found that D*ick in a box skit to be quite funny! Actually..too funny! But, it was kind of awkward to be watching it with my parents! Hmm...
Thanks for sharing! I could do 10 of those but I am not interesting enough for 100. Ahh heck now I think I want to try.
I'd like to see a picture of #38
love love love it. glad someone shares my obsession with peanut butter. jason is allergic to it and so thinks it's gross....man is he missing out!
WOW...great stuff.
I'll admit it.
I'm in love with Justin, too. He's my main man. We run together almost daily. He definitely brought sexy back. :)
I love reading these 100 things about you
your alarm song (tonight tonight) is my favourite
Great post! We have a lot in common! But, you must know you can get sub 5;30.
