Welcome to Running Jayhawk's Blog!

11.05.2006

This is what a 70+ hour work week causes...

I don't often post photos of any drunken debauchary on the blog...but because of work chaos last week I entered the seventh circle of hell...I feel so compelled to show the...uhmm...partier side of the Jayhawk...

This is what a 70+ hour work week causes...

...me to get behind in blogging...
...me to get completely behind in reading and commenting on my favorite blogs...
...me to not do any running whatsoever the past week (which is driving me nuts)...
...me to be at my desk by 7am and not leaving until 10 at night...sometimes later...
...me to work at home the few hours I was away from the office...
...me to appreciate the hubby in a whole new way (especially for him not killing me when I was going bonkers)...
...me to nearly have an emotional, mental and physical breakdown...
...and then it causes me to go completely off the deep end at a bachelorette party last night...

that's the OOSG's hand, for the record...

a few too many martinis and a couple of shots later leads to...chugging. (oh gawd, what as I thinking?)

No idea...it's all a bit foggy at this point...

To protect the innocent, I'm only posting pics of moi...there are many others that involve drunken dancing ON the bar with friends...pouring champagne all over the bride...as well as a handful of other unmentionable photos I'd never want my mum to see. I've been basically hungover all day...but after everything being so hellacious last week, it was soooo worth it...

Yes campers...I am that blogger right now. But I figure such photos add a tinge of the human element to ye olde blog. I'm such a lightweight now...it's ridonkulous. So enjoy the more...uh...intoxicated side of me...(I think this may just be my first drunken photo post after nearly a year...and will hopefully be my last)...

Peace, yo.

It's carbo-loading. Think of it that way.

I think we all need to cut it loose once in a while. To me it looks like a darn good time. I love the look on the guy in the red sweatshirts face. hahaha

Canadians in general speak in a better dialect of the English language than Americans. I wonder if that holds true if a given Canadian and a given American are drunk.

Regardless, I thank you. Just as I was about to give up on blogging (switching from Blogger to Wordpress a few days ago, and then having a complete creative block), I realize I have never posted drunkenly, either with or without pics to accompany.

This makes me really look foward to the relay!! I'm taking additional days off work because it may take us all longer than 2 days to run that sucker! =)

Great pics -- good to know that side of you exists (I was beginnign to think you were a little "too together"). We all need to cut loose like that, and if it was only your husband grabbing your boob, then it was just good fun.

Hey lady. Thanks for the note on my blog... I just noticed it now! Haha. A half in the spring would be spectacular if I am up to that much mileage by then. :o) I think we are planning on the Shamrock Shuffle as well.
