Chicago Marathon RBF Meet-Up...
Okay campers...In order to adequately find a locale to host ALL of us for the RBF post-thon meet-up...we first have to figure out just how many folks will be in tow.
Sooo....we need numbers. The restaurant we're talking to is trying to determine if the space is available to accommodate 25+ runners and their posse of family/friends/spouses/mistresses/dog walkers/etc. etc.
So....if you're planning on running Chicago and attending the post-run RBF gathering...please let me or LeahC know as soon as possible! You can either reply here or send an e-mail to BarbsMarathon AT gmail.com -- please provide an e-mail address for future updates as well as how many folks will be joining you (family and friends are welcome).
Also...if you're planning on running Chicago...be a doll and link this to your blog so we can get all our ducks in a row.
Food details will be available soon...it might be an all you can eat ordeal...or it may just be order what you like from the menu. We're trying to get an optional bar package in place...cause well...we'll all likely need something to numb out the aches and pains. :)
Mark your calendars, kids...
RBF Post-Run Celebration!
Sunday, October 22nd!!
Start Time: 5:30ish (might move by 30 minutes depending on room available)
Stay tuned for more details...in the meantime, please go ahead and RSVP if you're able to make it!

Aw, sounds like fun. I wish I was running Chicago...:-(
I think that we (me and dh) will be able to attend.
I'll be there, but only if that means I don't have to sit anywhere near Mike. He smells kinda funny.
Barb!!! I miss you!! Yep...I'm coming. And So will the hubby. Count on 2 this point.
:-)
I really want to come but this really depends on my family - my two little nephews kind of rule my world when they are in town. But, Tom and I will try to at least stop by.
Are the Chicago CRU meeting anytime soon?
I need to get with my Chi-tourguide Molls and see what she has planned, but I definietly want to finally meet you! I'll let you know soon!
I'd love to but will be hosting two sisters (including my patient honoree sis!).
See you for 12 this Saturday?
You must do this next year, so that if I run CHI I can play too. (I will be on my honeymoon this year, so I must say I won't miss y'all too much.)
I'm so very sad that I won't be there with you guys! :( Maybe next year.
'After' the race? Yikes, after last years race I was walking like an 80 yr old. Then again, I'm an old fart.
Hey! I found a friend to stay with so i am not sure how that will affect my locale etc but as long as some nice blogger can drop me back at their place sometime Sunday night I am IN!
I might be able to make it. Unfortunately, I won't know until just before race day - my sister-in-law is due about then, and we may not have the babysitting services of grandma & grandpa.
(Grr - it's garou - nugai.blogspot.com, but Blogger won't accept my login right now.)
Awww...i've met you in person and I want to vouch that you are NOT chunky. I understand the desire to shed pounds b/c I'm right there with you and I too have put on some pounds while running. But anyhow, congrats. In one year, you have accomplished more than many seasoned veteran runners.
Oh crap. I posted this under the wrong entry. This was supposed to go under your one year anniversary post. Sorry.
We would love to join you! It will be myself, hubby and our son. :)
I would love to attend..
with wife and two kids...
assuming we're invited. It sounds like fun. (not sure how my blog fits with the RBF sometimes as i tend to get off the running topic a lot lately)
