Extreme Taper.

So this is my race strategy. Extreme taper.

I was going to run tonight...and since the weather in Chicago is sucking (humid, gross and semi-rainy) ONCE AGAIN...I'm on the couch...chillin...watching Bring It On All Or Nothing. :) Practicing the fine art of extreme taper.

And let me tell you...I'm good at it.

Perhaps a little too good.

So last night I worked until 9:30....and today I was out at a reasonable hour...so I'm actually relaxing and not letting myself do anything. But sit on the couch...

Tomorrow I'll try to do a few miles (4-5 maybe?) and then do a 2-3 mile walk on Saturday to loosen up.

Ahhh....I love tapering. And Sunday morning at the half marathon...I'll start strong and probably begin tapering around mile 4 :)

Okay...I'm off to get a limeade.

Ooooh...and all discs with the Great RBF Music Exchange are in the mail. Enjoy!!

Is it ok if I borrow your extreme taper plan? Although, I'm afraid my taper will probably last a little longer than yours.

I can't wait for the CD!

I'm just going to have to ignore the fact that you're watching Bring it On 3 ... though I'm sure Mike was right there with you.

I am SO excited to be doing the CDC Sunday -- my first distance event EVER. And Barb, you have been a wonderful TnT mentor, sharing your own challenges with humor. You are truly intrepid! As the bunny says, You go, girl -- and keep on going!

That's not an extreme taper...that's how you taper the right way. Relax and watch bad movies. Maybe I'll see you Sunday morning...or walking past your apt.

I love this extreme taper plan. I have to have a night of nothing each week ... it's the best. Good luck on Sunday
