Cruisin' Jayhawk.
One might think that I mean I was cruisin' on my feet...running as fast as the wind...dashing here and there and everywhere...but ya know...it's too hot to run. And I indulged in rainbow sherbert instead.
So when you can't beat the heat, why not say "screw it," toss on your flip flops and a swimsuit, and order a slushy drink with a pretty pink umbrella in it?
Yup. That's right. This lil' Jayhawk and her hubby are goin' cruising.
Not for a while, though...it'll be next August. We jumped on the reservation before the price increase (which is tomorrow).
We put down the deposit tonight...and we're headed out on Royal Caribbean's newest and largest ship, Freedom of the Seas.
Eat yer heart out, campers!!
In other news...tomorrow is August. I can hardly believe it. We're less than 3 months from the Chicago Marathon and less than 2 weeks until the Chicago Distance Classic. And of course, in true Barb fashion, I am freaking out. And this weather better freakin' start cooling off.

Thursday. It will be better on Thursday. It will even be slightly better on Wednesday. Which means just one more day of ridiculously hellacious heat. You can do it. Almost there.
I clicked on the link and explored the Freedom of the Seas. Looks like a fun ship. I'll bet you guys will have a terrific time.

I KNOW, I can't believe how time is flying by...I HAVE HOMEWORK already (summer reading, like in elementary school). It makes me want to throw up.
I'm supposed to be running right now but I'm scared of the heat...sigh...
Cruises are so much fun. Matt and I did that for our honeymoon. The heat is bad here too...

I'm jealous in some ways. I'm afraid of cruises but how fun.
Don't freak out we will all make it across the finish line.
I've never done one of those monsterous floating hotel thingees. But I have been on a couple windjammer cruises and they rocked. I'm sure you'll rock and chalk like a jayhawk.
And yes, we're all waiting for that 80ยบ 'cold front' to move in...oy
Cool a cruise, we have our favorite vacation planned for November right after Thanksgiving. Details later. This heat is brutal.
Have fun on your cruise, my husband and I went on one last year and had a great time. But be careful! Cruises seem to be full of disasters lately, so pay attention during the safety test on your first afternoon.

I LOVE CRUISIN'. I am no rookie there. I've got about 5 under my belt. But, Royal Carribean? Isn't that were that Greenwich, CT drunk guy was murdered/killed falling after drinking his face off? OK, I am sure RC is nice. Just don't have the experience.

That website for that ship is the coolest interactive website I have EVER seen. You are gonna have a BLAST. You've gotta do that surfing thing. That looks like too much fun.
Ooh! What fun! I've never been on a cruise but my brother and a close friend have both been (seperate cruises) and they had nothing but good things to stay. :)
