Dizzy. I'm so dizzy, my head in spinning...

Oh.my.gah.

Have I ever told how much I hate stairs...I mean I really, really, reeeeeeeeally detest them. Stupid concept, those stairs are. And whoever had the BRILLIANT idea of racing up stairs, should really pay the price.

So Susan came over this morning for a quick lil' round of Hustle Training in the stairs at my condo. This isn't anything new for me considering I've climbed them a handful of times before today. Now mind you, I didn't have a chance to eat anything this morning either, so there enlies problem numero uno.

So around flight 18 on the first trip up...I am absurdly an insanely dizzy. What on earth is going on!? I'm only at 18 and I am sooooo ready to be DONE. Ugh. I crouch down and try to compose myself. Eventually, I make it up to 26 and suggest we take a quick breather in my condo.

Phew...okay...feeling better...let's go again...

So we head back down on the elevator and go back up. I'm feeling fine. Until 13. I keep telling myself that I'm halfway there (a lot of good that did) and crawled my way up a few flights. Crouched down...and felt like I needed to yak. What can I say? I'm a yaker. Some people are...it must be my punishment for being so rotten to my mom when I was younger. But alas, no yaking for me at that moment. The dizziness just took over.

I'm not sure HOW I did it, but I did get all the way back up to 26. Which would make for 52 flights. The exact number of stairwells I have to climb next Sunday. Once at the top, I knew it was only a matter of moments before the yaking would take place. Luckily, the elevator arrived quickly and we were back in the condo before we knew it.

I dashed to the bathroom and well, you can figure out what happens next.

I felt bad. And embarassed. I *HATE* getting sick. :( especially with other people around.

So yah..52 flights. Somewhere under 15 minutes-ish.

What is it with me getting sick around races? Lets hope I can keep everything down next weekend.

Oh no! Can you take something for the yaking before hand? I feel like that a lot at the end of races when I'm sprinting pretty hard.

I can't wait until your Hustle! It sounds like so much fun.

Just wondering if you wear a heart rate monitor? Perhaps you had a bug or perhaps it was the confined space or perhaps you overexerted? Stairs get my heart racing. Even if I don't go fast, my heart is up there. May have to slow is down or simulate a 1 minute walk to get the heart in check.
I am sorry though. I hate tossing in public. It makes me have tears in my eyes.

I would recommend taking it a little slower. Would you rather finish quickly and puke or go slower than you want and not puke? Angela had a good idea. Maybe go your regular speed, but then have little breaks where you go more slowly. You can do it!!
